Blinds and trends …. we love them! Read on

October to November of every year is an exciting time for The PR Boutique as it’s when we issue our trends reports on behalf of our home interest clients.

And in the first few weeks of 2016 we were also lucky enough to work with interiors stylist Natasha Marshall, who has been advising window blinds brand Style Studio on its new collections.

Natasha’s top three colour schemes she predicts we’ll all be adorning our homes with in 2016 are:

1) Grey and yellow

“Grey is going nowhere,” says Natasha. “It’s still the go-to colour for interiors in 2016 and can be brought to life with the use of bright accents – such as yellow.”

2) The Golden Hour – Dulux’s Cherished Gold

Cherished Gold is the colour everyone is talking about in interiors; it has a very classic feel to it and yet it can be ultra-modern depending on how it’s styled. Why not mix it up and go for ‘classic with a modern twist’. Team rich patterns in Cherished Gold that have a traditional feel, with a contemporary grey backdrop and lime green fabric accessories with a more up to date design.

3) Pale And Interesting!

“This palette incorporates dusty pale pastel shades and soft, earthen tones. Chalky pinks, natural taupes and powder greys are ultra-feminine and can be brought to life when contrasted with metallic accents. Copper works particularly well, but silver and gold make an equally harmonious match.  The key to this look is to keep it natural, so materials like exposed brick, lime-washed wood and bare plaster would provide a subtle and complimentary backdrop.” Natasha Marshall, Interior Designer
